Our Mission Statement:

Our mission is to love, serve, educate, and adjust as many families as possible toward optimal health and well being by providing regular Chiropractic wellness care with excellence and integrity. We will help the public understand that life, health, and healing come from within. We will help our communities achieve their maximum health potential naturally without drugs or surgery.

Dr. Mike's Chiropractic Story:

When I was 11-years old, I talked my mom into letting me play little league football for the Clear Lake Falcons. On one of the first practices, we were practicing tackling drills. I made a tackle and my head was pushed back and compressed into my shoulders and I immediately stopped breathing and collapsed. Luckily, my coach was able to bring me out of it.

My mom quickly took me into the medical doctor. The MD asked me a couple questions and that was it. He didnt check my spine or anything else. He told us that I was completely normal and nothing was wrong.

My mom had a sense that that MD had missed something vital, so she took me to several different MDs for second opinions and they all said the same thing (not once ever checking spine or anything). I was cleared to go back to football practice.

With permission from the MDs, I went back to practice. Well, the first day back at practice and with my first tackle, the exact same thing happens again. I stopped breathing and collapsed. Frightened and concerned for my health, my mom didn't know what else to do.

She then "broke down" and took me to see the local Chiropractor. I remember being kind of scared because of all these rumors and lies my family had heard about Chiropractors. We told him exactly what we told the MDs and then what they had said. The first thing he does is check my neck and my spine, and then he took pictures (X-Rays) of them. What he found were multiple severe misalignments (Vertebral Subluxations) in my neck that he said looked like they were caused from my birth process. He pointed out degeneration of the bones and discs in my spine which could irritate my nerves.

When I was born, the birth process caused multiple Vertebral Subluxations (misalignments) in my spine. These Vertebral Subluxations were blocking the nerve supply going through the nerves from my neck to my diaphragm (which controls breathing). When I had my neck compressed, it completely shut down the nerve supply to my diaphragm.  I was unable to breathe because my diaphragm was essentially temporarily paralyzed due to the lack of nerve supply.

The Chiropractor said I would be okay to go back to practice once the Vertebral Subluxations were corrected through a series of Chiropractic adjustments.

After receiving Chiropractic care, I went back to practice and on the first tackle and all subsequent tackles, nothing had happened.  My coach, my self, and my mom were all extremely happy that the problem was finally being taken care of.

Since I had my spine checked by a Chiropractor, corrected hrough Chiropractic, and kept that way, I have been extremely healthy.  I have not missed one day of work due to sickness.  I have had no prescription medications in my body for sickness. My physical health and mental well being have been incredible, and I owe it all to Chiropractic!

What I Love Most About my Office:

The Broadway Chiropractic Center is in a great location in central Denver, CO just outside of downtown. We are just off of I-25 which makes getting here easy for most people in Denver. The office has a warm and charming feel inside. I work with an incredible team. Edina is one my best CA's and is great with people. Paula, my Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), does wonderful soft tissue work and brings unbelievable energy to the office. There is a very positive attitude and environment in our Chiropractic office.  Our patients laughter commonly fills the office.

What I Love Most About Being a Chiropractor:

I love being Chiropractor because of what Chiropractic has done for my health. I get the opportunity to give the people of Denver the same gift that a Chiropractor once gave me, true health. Chiropractic care improves the quality of peoples lives naturally, and they become the healthy, strong and vital people they were intended to be. It is amazing to witness people's level of health dramatically improve with Chiropractic care. It is also extremely fun to celebrate with them as their lives become more enjoyable.

What I Love About Denver:

Denver is a very sports-minded town with practically every major professional sport represented here. There are many outdoor enthusiasts like myself due to the fact that there are so many outdoor activities (hiking, mountain biking, road biking, camping, fishing, kayaking, river rafting, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and wildlife viewing) within an hours drive of the city. Denver also is bordered by the beautiful foothills of the Rocky Mountain range.

My Goals for Denver's Community:

My goal is to educate as many families as possible to improve, enhance, and maintain their health through Chiropractic care. My goal is to help people to realize and achieve their optimum health potential. Children as well as adults become healthiest when their spines are in optimal alignment, and their nervous systems (the master system) are functioning at 100%. Parents need to know that their children's spines should be checked by a Chiropractor from birth onward for Vertebral Subluxations, so that their children can grow up with healthy spines, nervous and immune systems. When families in our community become healthier, our community itself becomes healthier.  As the physical and mental well being of our communities improve, it is possible to rebuild our often sick and increasingly drug dependant society into a healthy and more prosperous one.

Volunteer Work:

My favorite charity is the American Red Cross. I have previously volunteered as a CPR instructor at my local Red Cross and have done so for years. If you would like me to come to your work place, church or organization to speak for free to your group please contact us. I regularly speak on a variety of current health care topics including: ergonomics, back safety, posture, senior health, children and family health, dangerous drugs and especially Chiropractic.

More About Dr. Mike:

I care a lot about my patients. I have morning, lunch, and evening phone time to listen to my patients concerns and questions. My patients do not have to wait long to be seen in my office (the average wait time is less than 5-minutes). I educate my patients on their conditions and how Chiropractic care can help them naturally. I get excellent results. I strive to continually improve my chiropractic skills through 6-8 diagnosis and technique seminars per year.

My favorite sports are cycling, football, hockey and baseball. I enjoy hiking and have climbed many of the 14,000 ft+ mountains in Colorado and have summited Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest peak on the African continent at 19,340 feet. I also enjoy backpacking, mountain biking, snowboarding, skiing, camping, wildlife viewing, traveling and learning about different cultures.

I am a 1996 graduate of Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. I am a member of both the Colorado Chiropractic Association and the Colorado Chiropractic Wellness Alliance.

My brother Dr. John Madden is also a Chiropractor who practices in Round Rock, Texas near Austin.

My mother would describe me as being loving, caring, considerate, intelligent, observant, organized and a hard working perfectionist, and I love her for she has done for me.

Someone Asked Me, Why They Should Come to my Chiropractic Center?:

There is little to no wait time in my office. We have same day appointments. We get great results. Our equipment is clean, modern and high tech. We educate our patients on their conditions and about how Chiropractic can help them. We offer family care plans. Our staff is friendly, helpful, professional and accommodating. Our patients are excited about improving their state of health, quality of life, and sharing what they know with loved ones. We enjoy what do.
